personal message

Ugh... I hate this part. I don't think anyone actually ever really knows what to say here. I know I certainly don't. How do I describe myself to someone without knowing who I'm talking to or what they want to know? Hmm... Well, I guess I can start by saying that, though I was raised in church, it's only been in the past few years that I've really begun to understand what being a Christian is about. Now, that I've really started growing, I don't ever want to go back. For me, my Christian walk is one of those things that makes you say to yourself "Why didn't I do this sooner". I have seen the restoration of alot in my life that I thought was lost, and none of it would have been possible with turning my life over to Jesus.

I've lived in Texas for a little over a year now... moved here at the prompting of God, despite thinking that I never would. I'm finding that I like Fort Worth in general (though I do miss the ocean VERY badly). It's been a real blessing to me. I'm involved in a really good (though small) church, and I help out with the youth there. My heart is for missions, though. I've done one trip to Mexico, and I'm looking forward to the chance to do more there and elsewhere.

Sunday's game against the Redskins (10/28)

You know, I'm almost ashamed at how badly the Patriots beat up on Washington yesterday. ALMOST, but not quite. Going in, everyone said "Wow. This'll be a test for the Pats. Washington has a terrific defense. It's gonna be a good game." Really? Cause, I don't know about you, but I was almost bored by the game. I didn't see any sign of a "terrific" Washington defense. In fact, I don't even think Washington fielded a defense yesterday. I mean, 52 - 7. That's just ridiculous.... (continue reading)
