I"ll have to say that if you really want to know me... then you'll
have to know Christ. That is because My Identity is in Him. He is
my answer to everything. He is the reason I live, have hope, have
joy. I see Him all around me. He is the first person I think of in
the morning and the last person I speak to when the sun goes down.
I LOVE him with every fiber of my being. I spend most of my day
talking to him throughout the day and I ask HIS opinion on
everything, I take his advice and my life is blessed because of it.
If you want to know and understand me... then you simply must know
Jesus.
I know God created me with a specific purpose and I'm AIMing for
that purpose. God has always been GOOD to me, even when I didn't
deserve it (do any of us ever deserve His goodness?), and things
just always seem to fall in place for me. (Romans 8:28) It's
amazing to me how much he loves me. So, I love the Lord and I trust
him for my life.
I want to know that I am in HIS will always, but I think the
Lord gives us room to have fun and be creative! I like dropping
everything and pursuing a whim just for the fun of it. I like
blasting the music and dancing around the room with my daughter, as
she giggles and lights up like a little lightening bug! I like
packing up picnics and going for bike rides in the park. I like
visiting the lonely or sick in the hospital... bringing them hugs,
goodies and an uplifting fun spirit. To see their smile burst forth
as we walk into the room makes it all worth while.
As far as what I'm looking for ... It would be someone who follows
the Lord and his life shows it. People are important. Living our
lives in service to the Lord and for other people would bring us a
joy unimaginable! I guess that would be someone who trusts God more
than he trusts himself. ( Psalm 118:8 It is better to take refuge
in the Lord than to trust in man.) One who looks to the Word and
depends on the Lord for his happiness, his peace, his joy, his
direction and purpose in life. And while doing God's will ... adds
a little fun and creativity to it! Someone who loves God more than
he could ever love me... one because I don't need the pedestal and
second my life will automatically be blessed by his submission to
the Lord... which will lead to my submission to him. Every thing in
unity, all for the same purpose... to bring God glory.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may
have power, together will all the saints, to grasp how wide and
long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love
that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled up to the measure
of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19 (NIV)
