Hi. This looks like a new site and I hope it does well. I'm located
in East Atlanta and the guitar playing pic is from spring 2007 where I'm playing in a restaurant locally. Thanks for stopping by my page. I've always loved music and started playing at age 9. My life has had many interesting twists and turns and I'm always happy to try to share them with anyone interested. Musically, I played the 70's rock stuff in the 70's. God has always seemed to have His hand on my life and after the all encompassing 70's with all the rebellion, etc I had a Christian experience that radically changed my life. I played some of the Contemporary Christian music of the late 70's but in the early 80's went to live on a boat. That lasted almost 6 years. With this time I took up a very little banjo but then migrated into fingerstyle guitar about '86' a la Chet Atkins and his many devoted followers. Then I got married, had children, traveled a little, became very familiar with old time gospel music and a continued into a deeper understanding of Christianity than most church crowds considered-thanks to mentors. About 2002 my marriage started unraveling and about 2004 I developed an understanding of what hell was about-on earth that is. A couple or so years later the nightmares which probably have taken the lives of some seem to be defeated. My music therapy was that I played some Elvis type stuff and some bluegrass/Americana music. I've always been sort of non-political or apolitical as they call it. I love America, freedom, etc. Most of my views were sort of Republican. Liberals and Democrats seemed too far out for me. But I came to realise something was horribly wrong. I was shocked...then mad...and sad. I had heard many of these things as far back as '81' but didn't realise how far along the times were. I was asleep. And now recognition of events has me greatly disturbed. I think most Americans love our country in a lot of ways that often equate to service to the people. But I think we have been betrayed and raped by officials who aren't patriots at all. A patriot is someone who loves, defends, and supports our country. We are becoming a fascist dictatorship where big business and big government are married. And it will become a global control eventually. Presidents of both parties are the servants of global investors and our representatives in Congress of both parties have abdicated their Constitutional responsibilities and subjected themselves to an imperial presidency. They have succeeded in exporting our jobs, importing an illegal cheap labor pool which has driven down our wages, and are destroying the middle class. Now we are involved in unnecessary wars of aggression to gain raw materials for robber barons. We have capitol flight, ridiculous fiat money, trade deficits, more loss of freedom of speech, and much of our country is owned by foreign interests. Our police are becoming enforcers of this dictatorship. Before he died, John Lennon said, "Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about it." I think we need change but it's for sure Obama won't bring it. Not good change. He's another sellout-a loser for us, the people. Our only true hope is in God-not religion. friends (22)favorite pages
