When Moses asked God to describe himself he came back simply with "I Am". While I'm not divine I feel like saying the same thing. I am. First and foremost I'm a learner, then also a teacher. I'm a peacemaker. My two great loves are people and truth. I think I'm able to love people because I love truth. I'm not a conformist, but neither am I a rebel. I enjoy thinking and discussing thoughtful things. I enjoy music immensely as well as well crafted stories. I can't imagine anything more awesome, creative, inspiring and joyous than God himself. It amazes me that God cold ever be considered boring if you really think about Him. I'm playful. My emotions are stable. I've learned to be content in all things, but I still am motivated toward improvement. I love the idea of the local church and I love my local church in particular. I love democratic freedom. I conserve. I'm highly affectionate. I show affection through quality time spent with people. I'm balanced in life. I love interacting with both Christian believers and non-believers...Christian believers as fellow family members in faith and non-Christians as refreshingly unmasked fellow family members via creation. I'm simple. I like variety. I prefer clarity to agreement. I try not to go beyond what can be supported by logic. I am attracted to humbleness.
I just got word from my mother that my Grandmother (my dad's mother) passed away this evening. My grandmother was a really wonderful woman. She still is. When I was young I spent a lot more time with my mother's parents than I did with my father's. But my mother's parents died when I was still young..in my preteens and teens. I greived a lot when my grandfather died. I grieved less when my grandmother died. Today when I got the call I didn't grieve much at all. I'm not sure... (continue reading)
The thing I've come to realize, mind you after years of thinking about...it really does answer so many things....is that I was born much too young. Most of life's problem's boil down to the simple fact that ...I didn't know anything...I mean NOTHING...when I was born. Okay...I mastered sucking right away...but think about it...sucking....sucks.
